Seismic strengthening
A significant part of his experience has involved the seismic strengthening and refurbishment of existing buildings, preparing them to withstand significant earthquake forces before transforming them into safe, functional and high-quality spaces.
These projects involved extensive structural and remedial works, including large-scale concrete construction, specialist drilling rigs used to install structural anchors deep into bedrock, and the application of carbon-fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) systems to strengthen and improve the structural performance of buildings.
